Author Guidelines

Preparing a submission

RICIA accepts manuscripts in Spanish or English within its scope. Work must be original, must not be under consideration by another journal, and must have the approval of every author. Disclose any earlier version in a repository, preprint server, conference, or thesis in the cover letter, identifying any relevant overlap.

Submit an editable manuscript and a separate identification page. The latter must include the title, full author names, actual affiliations, country, corresponding email address, and ORCID identifiers when available. Include author contributions, funding, conflicts of interest, and acknowledgments. Enter this information in the submission system as well.

Anonymization

The manuscript for peer review must omit names, affiliations, acknowledgments, and other information that identifies its authors, including file properties. Refer to your previous work in the third person. If essential information must be temporarily masked, explain why and provide full details in a separate document for the editor. Disclose earlier public versions because they may limit anonymity.

Content and presentation

Provide the title, abstract, and keywords in Spanish and English. The abstract should state the purpose, method or approach, principal findings or arguments, and conclusion. Empirical research should generally include an introduction, methods, results, discussion, and conclusions, with adjustments appropriate to the discipline. Reviews must explain how sources were searched, selected, and analyzed; theoretical papers must explain their approach and substantiate their arguments.

Number tables and figures, provide titles and sources, and refer to them in the text. Use a consistent scholarly reference style and provide enough information to locate each source, including a DOI or link when available. Check that citations and reference entries correspond. State the study's limitations and avoid claims beyond the evidence.

Ethics, data, and artificial intelligence

Describe ethical approvals and consent where applicable. Declare funding and potential conflicts of interest, including their absence. Include a data, code, and materials availability statement identifying their location, how access may be requested, or the restrictions that justify withholding them. Do not publish identifiable personal information or third party materials without the required authorization.

Disclose the use of artificial intelligence tools in the research or manuscript preparation, identifying the tool, version or access date when possible, purpose, and extent of use; if none were used, state this. When AI is used in analysis, describe the procedure sufficiently for assessment. AI tools cannot be listed as authors. Human authors must verify the accuracy of the content, citations, data, and permissions and remain responsible for the entire work.

Revision and publication

Responses to reviews must explain each change and respectfully justify any disagreement. Following acceptance, authors will be asked to provide a final version with complete identification. No submission, review, or publication fees are charged. Articles are published under the CC BY 4.0 license.
